Frank begain his automotive career in North London for Lotus at just 17 years old, fueling his passion for cars in the parts department and workshop floor. Here, Frank worked alongside a couple of familiar names, Graham Hill and Keith Duckworth. 

 

After 2 years, he returned to the North West to join A&B motors as a Junior Salesman, and quickly progressed to Sales Director. A&B Motors were the franchise holders for Austin, Morris, Wolseley, Riley, Triumph, Aston Martin, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Jaguar, Rover, MG, Land Rover and Vauxhall.

 

After 14 great years with A&B Motors, Frank decided to set up his own dealership, Lowton Autopoint, which held the Audi and Peugeot franchise for the area.

 

After years of working in showrooms, Frank decided he wanted a change and worked from home as a Vehicle Underwriter, specialising in Mercedes Benz. In 1972, Frank started F G Hampson Car Sales and has been underwriting for some of the UK's largest main dealer franchises, specialists and motor traders ever since.

 

Frank didn't just offer his services to the motor trade but also the public. Having minimal overheads and a huge network of contacts, it meant Frank could offer great deals to his customers and sourcing the perfect cars for his customers was never an issue, and always a pleasure!
